US Election08: Do you agree with Obama's Taxes policy?

"Cut taxes for the middle-class and increase taxes for the rich. Restore the top two income tax rates to 36% and 39.6%. Eliminate income taxes for seniors making less than $50,000 per year and capital gains taxes on small businesses. Introduce a tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family. Make the child and dependent care tax credit refundable, and allow low-income families to receive up to a 50% credit for child care expenses. Limit estate tax exemptions to $3.5 million."

Ofcourse, the strongest shoulders should carry the greatest burden. 36 and 39.6% is still low compared to 42 and 52% top two income tax rates in my country (Netherlands)..

I make more than $250,000 a year so i know i will get taxed more under Obama but any person know that more taxes for the lower income of this country is not the way to help it. So if i have to pay more then ok

He is a very optimistic person and the policy which he announce will benefit lower income class and that is a very good thing. Although he made threatening statements against my country but still I am with him because he is talking about lower and middle class, all other politicians always give benefits to rich class.

Jay,
If you have to pay more, then ok? Then pay more now. Put your money where your mouth is. There is nothing that stops you from paying more taxes to the IRS. Personally, I think we can each do more by keeping our own money and/or donating it to charities of our choice, rather than letting the Government dictate to where and who it goes.

when i say "i" have to pay more i mean we as in ppl that make more than $250,000 the richer ppl need to step up. if i just me payed more taxes that wont help anything but if every one that had the money was taxed and the ppl that did not have it are not taxed then it will help the U.S.

Then pay more. Don't assert your position on everybody else just because you are okay with paying more. Anyway, the US would be helped more if people could keep more of their own money. What good does it do to give it to the wasteful and inefficient government? I am happy to donate my fair share, but don't steal from Peter to pay Paul. The Government would do better to spend less than tax us more. How can you argue that?

Even the wealthy earn what they have. I am not for taking that from them. I say cut the taxes so that people use their extra money to spend on our economy, thus boosting it. That was what makes the capitalist economy regulate itself. It only fails when government gets involved, such as with the Depression.

People don't want charity they want help. Charity is for the extremely poor. No middle class family ever gets charity. People want real results and real actions taken in order to help them improve their own situations.
