I would normally agree with you. However, there are so many cases where people adopt without compassion. It is a sad truth. The current vile trial in St Polten, Austria of Fritzl is such an example. He adopted 3 children, murdered another and enslaved 3 more. I am just no longer comfortable with sweeping generalizations like you have posted because it kind of wallpaper over the cracks.

I agree Ann.. I came across a few here in this opinion who were adoted and they felt being told from an early age was vital.. And many are happy just to stay and not seek out their biological parents...

Depends on the child how he or she might react about it. Should think about it before taking any step.

it is some bad twisted logic, if parents is bad u always try to get some love from him/her and u tend to DO good, but if u get it anyway majority takes it for granted.. bad bad ppl

I disagree that these people have more compassion for children than biological parents. People who adopt children do it sometimes for selfish reasons, they feel they are being left out not being able to have their own children.

the parent should informed the adopted kid but giving the care and love as their biological parents.........

Unfortunately compassion isn't always the reason behind it, Adoptind a child has turned into nothing more than a publicity stunt used for selfish means

I only hope those who are considering adoption tend to do so for the right reasons, there is an innocent life in the balance..

And yes the child deserves to know about her adoption, and if applicable, her biological parents as well...
