Indeed it's difficult to understand wgy people spend a great deal of their life busying themselves with others' businesses and forget their own. That evil indeed spoils the joy of life and destroys the most beautiful aspects of it. It's a great advantage to be able to put up with that feeling by others and hope you have the courage and strength to continue. Even though I believe you should find a way to eradicate that feeling from the heart of relevant people or be able to get rid of them.
